James Tizard

I am the CEO of SABRENet Ltd. I've worked in public sector IT since the early 1980's - I've been around about as long as the PC. I wrote software for scientists until the mid '90's, when I moved into government IT policy for nine years including a spell in an IT Minister's office. My move to SABRENet in 2006 was in some ways a welcome return to actually doing stuff.
I have an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience.
I'm married with two children, a dog, two guitars, three basses, a drum kit and too many computers.

What is SABRENet?

The South Australian Broadband Research and Education Network (SABRENet) is a major project to develop an optical fibre broadband network linking important Research & Education sites in metropolitan Adelaide. SABRENet provides researchers with very high-speed broadband connectivity and the ability to handle large volumes of data.
