SABRENet celebrates 20 years of innovation

SABRENet proudly celebrated its 20th anniversary recently with a special event at Adelaide Town Hall. CEO Sandra Vallance hosted the evening, recognising the organisation’s founders, past and present Board members, former CEOs Ralph Leonard and James Tizard, and the vital role of partners and staff.

A highlight was the presentation to Paul Sherlock, SABRENet’s Chair since inception, acknowledging his visionary leadership. “Paul is not only one of the original architects of SABRENet, but also its enduring steward. His leadership has helped shape South Australia’s digital research infastructure, and his unwavering commitment to innovation and collaboration continues to inspire us all,” said Sandra Vallance.

Two education scholarships were also announced in partnership with Flinders University and the University of Adelaide and were presented by Pro Vice Chancellor of Flinders University, Professor Chris Brebner and Pro Vice Chancellor College of Engineering and Information Technology, Adelaide University, Professor David Lewis.

As SABRENet enters its third decade, its purpose endures; enabling innovation and building the digital infrastructure shaping South Australia’s future.
