Icon Graphic Design is a creative agency based at Innovation Precinct, Technology Park and provides graphic design and web design services for businesses.
Their connection to GigCity in 2018 was extremely welcome after they had an issue with their previous internet provider. After moving to a new office, they were unable to transfer their existing connection. Designer, Tina Danher-Hart explains, “The previous service was terrible and we had been without internet for over a week with no sign of the issue being resolved.
We contacted EscapeNet, who provide connections to GigCity and they were able to connect us that day. EscapeNet proved to be the professionals in the field right when we needed them. Our previous internet provider was impossible to deal with, uncooperative and unwilling to help us. Our business is very reliant on the internet and GigCity saved the day.”

The process of transfer and connection was simple and efficient. That ease of transition began the relationship, which soon developed into discovering more benefits.
Building websites requires speed and reliability, and the team at Icon Graphic design was hoping that GigCity would provide faster internet than they previously had, as well as the reliability that is imperative for building websites efficiently.
These benefits were realised and they are very happy with the speed of the service. Tina shares an anecdote as to just how fast the connection is. “One time we were on the phone to our technical support and they needed us to download something. The supplier said that he would call us back once it was downloaded, but it was already finished. He was shocked, and said, ‘It can’t be, that should take about 15 minutes!’”
Icon Graphic Design plans to continue using GigCity for their internet service. Tina explains, “GigCity’s speed helps us by enabling us to build websites and move large files around at lightning speed. Websites are becoming more and more complex all the time, requiring more speed, so it’s imperative that we have fast and reliable internet.”
